Mae pob un ohonom yn poeni am coronafirws (COVID-19) a
sut y bydd yn effeithio arnom ni a'r rhai rydyn ni'n eu caru. Mae Epilepsy
Action Cymru yn cydnabod y straen y gall mesurau aflonyddgar cymdeithasol ei
roi ar bobl sy'n cael lles. Rydym am barhau i helpu a chefnogi pobl y mae
epilepsi yn effeithio arnynt yn ystod yr amser hwn. Rydym yn cymryd camau i
addasu ein gwasanaethau cymorth yn unol â'r cyfyngiadau cymdeithasol cyfredol.
Gwasanaeth peilot ymateb i argyfwng newydd grwpiau rhithwir
Mae Epilepsy Action yn
rhedeg gwasanaeth rhithwir grŵp ar-lein newydd, ar gyfer pobl yr effeithir
arnynt gan epilepsi yn ystod y pandemig coronafirws. Bydd grwpiau rhithwir yn
rhoi cyfle i bobl rannu profiadau a theimladau personol, strategaethau ymdopi a
chyd-gefnogaeth. Byddwn yn defnyddio'r platfform cyfathrebu fideo ar-lein Zoom
i gynnig y grwpiau rhithwir hyn. Bydd y rhain ar gael i bobl ymuno â nhw trwy
ein gwefan. Bydd y grwpiau'n cael eu harwain gan aelodau o'n tîm gwasanaethau
lleol.

reoli'r galw cynyddol, mae aelodau o'r tîm Gwasanaethau Lleol yn cael eu
hyfforddi i gymryd galwadau llinell gymorth fel y gallwn gefnogi mwy o bobl yn
ystod yr amser hwn.

Epilepsy Action Cymru
All of us are worried about coronavirus (COVID-19) and how
it will affect us and those we love. Epilepsy Action Cymru recognises the
strain that social distancing measures may place on people’s wellbeing. We want
to continue to help and support people affected by epilepsy during this time. We
are taking steps to adapt our support services in line with the current social
restrictions.
New crisis response pilot
service – virtual groups
Epilepsy Action is running a new online virtual group
service, for people affected by epilepsy during the coronavirus pandemic. Virtual
groups will provide an opportunity for people to share personal experiences and
feelings, coping strategies and mutual support. We will use the online video
communications platform Zoom to offer these virtual groups. These will be
available for people to sign up to through our website. The groups will be led
by members of our local services team.

Virtual groups will complement our existing services:
- The Epilepsy Action Helpline
continues to be available during its normal published hours. People can
contact the Epilepsy Action Helpline on 0808 800 5050. To help manage the
increased demand, members of the Local Services team are being trained to
take helpline calls so that we can support more people during this time
- forum4e, a free online community
for people with epilepsy and carers of people with epilepsy
- Our social media pages are
also very active
